How do you get an autistic child to bed?
i babysit this little boy who is autistic. he is the sweetest up until bed time. i have asked his parents and his brother but getting him to bed seems to be a challenge for everyone. i cant just tell him to go to bed because he doesnt always understand.
is there anyway that helps them fall asleep faster.
i have found patting a pattern on his back keeps him calm and puts him to sleep but it takes an hour t do.

When I was a kid what my mother always did was left some sort of distraction on my room. for me it was my television, but NOT turned on a station I loved otherwise I'd stay awake.
I often find autistic kids like myself as a child. Dislike the idea of bedtime because it's boring and still. Kids with autism often have high energy and want to move.
Just give a distraction of some sort. Maybe a book or a toy, but he has to stay lying down.

i think the fact that you play cod will make him fall for you, so if you tell him that then your fine i guess, but if you just want to play cod with him then that's ok as long as you don't get bored. and im going into 7th and had a girl friend in 6th so yes we both know that we're too young lol
